The 1995 Brut Millesime Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru comes across as fairly evolved in its tobacco, honey, licorice, roasted nuts and mushrooms. The wine is a touch more elegant on the palate, particularly in the delicate, refined mousse. This is an excellent choice for readers looking for a mature Champagne. I am not sure I would hold this too much longer. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2014. This is a strong set of new releases from Drappier, with the exception of the roses, which fall a bit short of the quality level the estate achieves with its other wines.
