The NV MUSCAT MELISSEA is typically styled for the Beaumes de Venise type Muscats that Greece makes so often (and rather well). Rich and occasionally piercing on opening, it quickly acquires balance, thinning and becoming more gentle rather quickly, while remaining bright and refreshing, with notes of vanilla around the edges. Focused and restrained, this is sweet but not syrupy, well positioned as an aperitif. Despite its well balanced subtlety, it is remarkably persistent, drinking beautifully three days later.
