The 2014 Nuragus di Cagliari S'Elegas makes a great showcase for the native Nuragus grape. This vigorous and high yielding variety shows good acidity and Vermentino-like aromas when farmed correctly. This expression makes great use of that natural intensity with pretty tones of passion fruit, white flower and Golden Delicious apple. Focused sea breeze or marine notes also appear. The mouthfeel is a bit thicker and fatter than your standard Vermentino.
