The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon State Lane Vineyard reveals the same silky tannins found in the 1995. This vintage tended to produce harder, more tannic and rustic wines, but that is not the case with this cuvee. The wine possesses plenty of sweet, jammy, plum and black currant fruit, cigar box and spice aromas, some cedar, and a silky, layered, lush, medium to full-bodied personality.
