Randall Grahm's newest releases appear to be the most impressive wines he has produced in years. One never knows what to expect from Bonny Doon Vineyard, but that's what makes it fun. For bargain hunters, there is a bevy of top selections that please both the palate and the purse. The intense dry red wines from Bonny Doon's portfolio include an excellent 1992 Cinsault made from an old vineyard in the Dry Creek area. Only 100 cases were produced. This wine boasts gorgeous, raspberry and black-cherry fruit, medium to full body, superb purity, and a chewy finish with light tannin and adequate acidity. It should drink well for 5-6 years.
