The wine stands out for its natural freshness and energy that is especially balanced and focused in this warm vintage. The 2015 growing season was ideal for a grape with naturally high freshness like Barbera. The Scavino family has done an excellent job of pulling out the elegant side of this grape. This is not always an easy feat. The vines are planted in limestone-rich soils and these conditions also help to soften out any rough edges. This wine should hold ten years, if not more.
