Hints of struck match, toasted grain and grilled pineapple mark the nose of the 2019 Single Vineyard Taylors Pass Chardonnay. Entirely barrel fermented and aged in 31% new French oak, it strikes a fine balance between the crisp, citrusy fruit that comes from this site and the broadening winemaking artifacts of oak, lees contact and partial malolactic fermentation (30%), resulting in a streamlined but not ungenerous wine with a gently custardy mouthfeel and a long, lemon-and-lime finish.

The nose of the 2018 Single Vineyard Taylors Pass Chardonnay artfully combines hints of toast, grilled sweet corn and ripe peaches. It was a warm vintage, and the wine shows less acidity than most other vintages, with a round lushness to the mouthfeel that makes it dangerously easy to drink. Enjoy it over the next 3-4 years.

The 2016 Single Vineyard Taylors Pass Chardonnay is a plump, medium-bodied wine, offering aromas of vanilla and citrus and flavors of melon, pineapple and quince. The toasty, nutty oak is less obvious in this bottling than in the various Reserve Chardonnays, so if you're oak-averse, you may prefer this bottling.

The 2015 Single Vineyard Taylors Pass Chardonnay is scented of honey-drizzled peaches, fresh cream and crushed cashews with a touch of ginger. Medium-bodied, with an elegantly crafted palate, it offers a great intensity of creamy stone fruit flavors and a solid, savory finish.
