The 2008 Pinot Gris has subtle gooseberry and cut grass on the nose, moderate lift. A simple palate here with a little spice, moderate acidity but nice weight. Lanolin, pear, spice and a touch of ginger. Chilled this would be attractive. Fine. No known American importer.

This lacks some definition on the nose with hints of rosewater and a touch of white peach, gaining in intensity in the glass - orange-blossom and peony. The palate is well balanced with good definition, a sense of minerality combined with tropical fruits (pineapple and apricot) with a touch of spice on the off-dry finish. Good length.
