Dark ruby-colored with a sweet nose of kirsch liqueur intermixed with roasted herbs, this spicy, full-bodied 2000 possesses superb ripe fruit, a heady mouthfeel, and a long, lusty finish. The wine was produced from the indigenous Cannonau grape, which is believed to be a clone of Grenache ... it sure tastes like that.
