Explosive aromas of grapefruit, licorice and crushed stone. Dense, juicy and concentrated, with lovely purity and restraint to its fruit. Quite tactile and stony in the middle palate, then builds impressively on the back end, finishing supple and fine. This has a typical Martinborough texture that some local winemakers describe as chalky, even if this characteristic is not due to limestone in the soil.
