The 2001 Zinfandel Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard (475 cases from 95-year old vines) possesses a red as well as black currant, blackberry, and spice-scented nose, and medium to full-bodied, tightly-knit flavors that reveal high levels of glycerin and richness, but not the exuberance or flamboyance of the other Russian River bottlings.
