My favorite Bannockburn offering is the 1998 Shiraz. It lacks the heft that most Australian Shiraz provide, but this is a cooler climate wine with a deep ruby/purple color, olive-tinged, black currant flavors, some spice, and wood. It exhibits good sweetness on the attack and a medium-bodied, lightly tannic finish.
