The 2008 Pencarrow Sauvignon has lovely green apply fruits on the nose – a little herbaceous but great intensity – almost smoky. Well balanced palate – vibrant green apply fruit, lime, a touch of smoke, great length and vigor. Excellent – drink over the next year. One of Martinborough’s finest exponents, I think Palliser Estate deserve as much attention as the likes of Ata Rangi and Martinborough Vineyard because these wines deliver time and time again.
