The 2009 Vespa Bianco is 45% Chardonnay, 45% Sauvignon and 10% Picolit. The 2009 is a generous, textured Vespa Bianco endowed with tons of richness and depth. Sweet floral honey, mint, white flowers and succulent yellow peaches are some of the aromas and flavors that emerge from the glass. This is a beautifully balanced, harmonious white in a vintage that yielded so many overdone wines. Not here. The 2009 will drink well upon release, but also has the structure and complexity to reward at least a handful of years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.
