The 2001 Reve, a barrel-fermented Chardonnay, is an attractive bright gold in color, and the mango and vanilla nose, the ample and voluminous palate are typical of warm climate interpretations of the grape. A wine to be drunk relatively soon – the complexity that would reward cellaring is not there.A house which took some time to get its act together, Velenosi made an important move in 2001 by engaging Attilio Pagli as its consulting winemaker.
