The 2016 The Ironstone Pressings Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre is 70% Grenache, 25% Shiraz and 5% Mourvèdre. Full-bodied and muscular, it practically defines several generations of Australian "red table wines." It's capable of being consumed young if you have an appetite for tannin, or it can be aged up to a decade, perhaps longer. Personally, I'd drink the 2015 now, and put the 2016 in the cellar. Black cherries, cedar and tar appear on the nose, while the concentrated flavors follow similar lines, adding hints of plum, raspberry and licorice.

Dense and firm, with a minerally edge and accents of tobacco and roasted herb to the cassis and cherry notes. Shows fresh flavors and concentration, making this a good candidate for the cellar.
