The 2021 Chaleur Blanc is made from 67% Sauvignon Blanc and 33% Sémillon. The nose is oaky, fresh and lifted with notes of yellow apples, sweet citrus and a delightfully soft mineral essence. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is focused, balanced and succulent with notions of lemon pastry cream and vanilla that sway with a delicate mineral tension. The wine concludes with a focused, fresh and lingering finish. At $42 a bottle, this is perhaps one of the best Washington Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blends in the market today. Just over 67,000 bottles were produced. This was almost all barrel fermented and barrel aged, with 51% new French oak. Impressive!

Elegant and oak-focused with layers of sweet citrus, hints of green apple, vanilla and lees, the 2020 Chaleur Blanc packs a punch. Made from 72% Sauvignon Blanc and 28% Sémillon, the medium to full-bodied wine offers a luxurious texture on the palate and expands to reveal a gorgeous yet balanced structure. The wine continues to evolve and reveals citrus and oak layers over the brilliant finish.

The 2019 Chaleur Blanc celebrates its 25th year with a blend of 69% Sauvignon Blanc and 31% Sémillon. Opening with a beautifully floral nose lifted by the elegance of French oak, the wine has aromas of crushed citrus blossom with subtle notes of cheese rind, juicy yellow apples and Key lime pie nuances that capture your attention. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is broad, waxy and textured, ending with energetic acidity on the long, pleasing finish. The wine was 90% barrel fermented in French oak, 60% first fill. 48,000 bottles produced. It’s going to be hard to beat this quality at this price. Bravo!

The 2018 Chaleur Blanc is a blend of 71% Sauvignon Blanc and 29% Sémillon. It opens with a clean, structured nose of fresh citrus, soft oak, velvety white flowers and citrus blossoms. The palate is medium to full-bodied, smooth and creamy textured, almost like lemon panna cotta, finishing clean, focused and balanced. 5,050 cases were produced.

A blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, the 2017 Chaleur Blanc has clean Sauvignon Blanc expressions of fresh lemons and soft grapefruit skin on the nose, with the Sémillon providing a lift, with delicate waxy florals and aromas of sauteed pineapple. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and escalated with seductive oak flavors on the palate, the wine is ripe, crisp and zesty, delivering pleasure and elegance. The wine lingers on the finish with soft oakiness and round complexity. There were 4,650 cases made.
