Offering up aromas of dark berries, cherries, warm spices, woodsmoke and petals, Chevillon's 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncières is medium to full-bodied, ample and concentrated, with an enveloping core of fruit, ripe, powdery tannins and lively balancing acids.

Bursting with aromas of blackberries, mulberries, dark chocolate and rich soil tones, the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncières is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, built around velvety tannins and succulent acids. It will be well worth seeking out.

A touch more introverted than the exuberant Chaignots and Bousselots, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncières unwinds in the glass with notes of blackberries, cassis, sweet soil tones and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and structured, this is a serious, muscular Nuits, with tannin and concentration to burn, but it's very promising.

I have a weakness for the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncières, an inviting wine that bursts with aromas of blackberries, cassis, sweet soil tones and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy with an ample core of succulent fruit, rich structuring tannins and a long, vibrant finish. This will offer a broad drinking window.
