Sweet, spicy, cedar-laced scents can be discerned in the nose of the 2000 Marsannay Longeroies. Light to medium-bodied, it is spicy, extroverted, and filled with blackberries. Regrettably, this otherwise excellent wine tightens in the finish to reveal some edgy tannin. It should be drunk over the next 3-4 years. Concerning the 2000s, Clair offered that the wines “have the tenderness of the 1999s”.
