The 2008 TINTO “VALE DO BOMFIM” (DOW) is a blend of Tinta Barroca (55%), Tinta Roriz (22%), an old vines field blend (17%), and 3% each of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. This bottling has always been a good source for easy drinking value, and it is once again. It has a touch of a bitter chocolate note and modest mid-palate concentration, but it drinks easy, has some charm, attractive aromatics and is nicely balanced.
