The inexpensive 1995 La Volte is a straightforward, fruity, supple-styled wine that offers honest cherry fruit in a medium-bodied format. The color is an attractive dark ruby/purple, and the wine is soft and refreshing. It is ideal for drinking over the next 2-3 years. The Marchese Lodovico Antinori makes these luxuriously fruity, rich wines from his vineyards in Bolgheri, an area not far from the famed Sassicaia.
