Medium ruby. Strong oak spice accents the precise dark cherry, currant, licorice and anise aromas. Supple and rich in the mouth, with bitter cherry, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavors, with repeating vanillin oakiness. Fresh, juicy and rich, not to mention youthful, on the long, solid finish. I'd hold onto this for another five years before pulling the cork.
