Cuilleron is a brilliant white wine maker, who has augmented the quality of his reds. The 1999 St.-Joseph Les Serines' dense plum/purple color is followed by aromas and flavors of cassis, flowers, and minerals. It is medium to full-bodied, with a serious, concentrated style, plenty of muscle, and moderate tannin. It needs 2-3 years of cellaring, and should last for 15.
