The 2006 Sesto a Quinconce is a beautiful, super-ripe red bursting with dark fruit, violets, spices and French oak. There is more than enough richness and depth in the fruit to handle the oak. This plump, juicy red from Vinosia more than delivers the goods. It would be great to see the winery set a higher bar for some of their other offerings. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2016. Vinosia makes a wide range of wines, perhaps too many considering the inconsistent quality of the bottles I tasted. Readers are best served focusing on the top offerings.
