The 2012 Taurasi is a wine of impressive intensity and balance. This vintage offers a very interesting interpretation of Aglianico with warm tones of ripe fruit and blackberry marmalade backed by firm, velvety tannins and balanced freshness. The bouquet is direct and immediate with cherry liqueur, chocolate, spice and cola. Fruit is harvested up to 500 meters above sea level with southeast exposures. The well-draining soils are rich with pumice deposits. Feudi di San Gregorio ages its Taurasi in oak for 18 months.
