Since Cape Mentelle's Cabernet Sauvignon had not been reviewed for some time, I was the recent recipient of a mini vertical. The medium-bodied 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is at a lovely state of maturity right now, showing soft, supple tannins and a fine balance between youthful cassis and cedar and more evolved notes of dried fruit and cigar box. It should drink well through at least 2026.
