There are 2,000 cases of this excellent unfined and unfiltered Cotes du Ventoux. It is made in a fresh, elegant style (typical of this vintage in the southern Rhone), possessing vibrant blackberry, raspberry, and cherry fruit intermixed with earth, licorice, and spice. The wine is medium-bodied, with a lovely texture, fine purity, and copious quantities of sweet, concentrated fruit. This beautifully made 1999 represents the finest of its type from the up and coming Cotes du Ventoux appellation.
